Most of the friction wear in coal and power plants is caused by sand and iron ore contaminating the fuel. With the right selection of wear parts and effective maintenance, you can save costs on mill lining, primary and secondary crusher linings, transfer chutes, hoppers and silos, grinders and classifiers, screens and bottom tables, cyclones and separators, fan blades and cases, feeders and conveyors.
Specializes in Hardox® wear plate and Toolox® engineering and tool steels made exclusively from quenched and tempered steel grades. Duroxite® coating products are also available for severe friction wear due to hard materials.
There are many applications where Hardox® wear plate makes a difference. For example, the use of lignite hammers made of Hardox® 600 has resulted in cost savings with 3 times the service life compared to original cast hammers. Another successful Hardox® upgrade was a coal plant cyclone that was originally made from standard grade S235 steel. Service life increased from 6 months to 15 months.
