Hardox® 500 is a bendable and weldable wear resistant steel with a nominal hardness of 500 HBW. Suitable for applications requiring higher wear resistance.

Hardox® 500 provides good machinability with guaranteed impact toughness (Hardox® 500 Tuf) when specified, while increasing load capacity and service life.

Size Range

Hardox® 500 plates are available in thicknesses between 4.0-103 mm, Hardox® 500 sheets are available in thicknesses between 2.0-7.0 mm. Hardox® 500 plates are available in widths up to 3350 mm and lengths up to 14,630 mm. Hardox® 500 sheets are available in widths up to 1650 mm and lengths up to 16,000 mm.
