Hardox® 450

With its excellent structural properties, it is the most popular steel among the wear resistant steels.

Hardox® 450 is a wear resistant steel with a nominal hardness of 450 HBW. Hardox® 450 combines good bendability and weldability with a guaranteed impact toughness option (Hardox® 450 Tuf).

The products can be used in many different components and structures that are subject to wear. With the better wear resistance and longer wear life provided by Hardox® 450, which is 50 Brinell higher in addition to our 400 grade, you can save even more.

Size Range

Hardox® 450; It is available as plate in thicknesses between 3.2 – 130 mm, as sheet in thicknesses between 2.0 – 8.0 mm and as CR sheet in thicknesses between 0.8 – 2.1 mm. For thicknesses exceeding 80 mm, a width of 1650 mm is preferred. Detailed information about the dimensions is given in the size program.
